Curbside View
Happy Friday, everyone!
It’s been a tough week time-wise and I so look forward to catching up on life this weekend.
During a sunrise, we look down Memorial Drive in Arlington Virginia, northward across the Arlington Memorial Bridge into Washington DC. The white building in the background is the Lincoln Memorial.
It was a cold morning when I took this border shot and the location is across the road from this tribute to The Seabees.

After running this through HDR Efex Pro, the image was pulled into PS for some cleanup and masking. I did not like the way the roadway and sidewalk came out initially so I then processed the zero (0) exposure as a single HDR image, layering it below a background copy. That image was used to bring in the sidewalk and roadway with a better result.
Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a great weekend!

Were those four plane trails? Also looks like you got low to the ground on this shot. Good job!

Hi Max, how goes bud?
Those contrails were likely left by some military jets on maneuvers, although I didn’t see them. The contrails did catch my eye before setting up for the shot and I thought, gee, would have been really nice to have caught them in action.
You can only get lucky but so many times… like I did here >> http://jimijonesvisuals.com/in-flight/

Those contrails just help to lead the eye in, as does just about every other line in this shot, Jimi. Foreground detail is superb. The low down POV has worked out well.
