Welcome to the weekend, friends.
I want to thank everyone for their comments, RTs and shares, particularly during the last couple of days while I’ve been away from the net. Currently I am visiting some long-time friends during my travels through some rural areas where internet signals are not so readily available. I have always loved the “country life” and all it has to offer. It is always a trip back through time. Needless to say, I’ve captured a photo or two and will happily share them with you in the near future.
Today I offer a dilapidated barn that caught my eye while driving along a stretch of rural roadway. It does not appear to be that old, certainly not from the early 20th century but rather, a parcel of land that has been allowed to fall into decay.
As you can see in the foreground, the split rail fence has been nearly overtaken by the grass, which has gone to seed. What was once a proud white barn with a red tin roof has fallen into disrepair. Makes me wonder about the family who once lived here and what life was like during better times.
Well, the journey continues for me so we will be catching up to your post Sunday and Monday. In the meantime I wish you a great weekend.
Thanks so much for clicking by.
