Foggy Sunrise
After a busy and long day you arrive home late at night with little time or energy for processing an image and writing a quick photoblog post. So what do you do?
I found myself in this very situation last night so I went to the ole “go-to file”. That’s a file where I keep images that have been partially or completely processed. Some of those images will never see the light of day, while others simply wait in the queue for the right moment in time.
Today I’ve reached back to a foggy morning this past Summer. I remember that thunderstorms had blown through the area the previous afternoon, leaving enough moisture and humidity to create an overnight fog. As the fog burned away, it exposed a perfectly round and intense sun which signaled the beginning of a roasting hot day.
Enjoy the day, friends!

I sure hope you will have a good day too Jimi, as for the photo, nice warmth you captured there

Know what you mean Jimi. I have a huge archive of images and I’m always reaching back for them!
That sun looks great. Not a blown out highlight to be seen, well done.

Wonderful capture, like the warm colors and the composition.

Ya! Nice shot man!
Perfect exposure – not a single blown pixel in the sun. The color in the sky is great, too.

I love this JImi. The colors and the fog blanketing the houses is great.

Perfect shot. Got more stuff waiting in the wings like this?

That’s a great shot. The few times time I can force myself up that early, I almost never get a shot like this.
Glorious image, beautiful!

Awesome Jimi!! Very cool shot. I have a secret little obsession with fog. So magical. I have a perfect forest shot I have had in my head for years that I haven’t quite been able to find yet. Soon hopefully!!
