Kent Island Marina
I’ve had a long running love affair with the open waters of the Mid Atlantic Region, and everywhere for that matter. It’s one of my favorite pastimes and a place I can often be found during the Spring and Summer seasons. Practically every river or creek in this area leads out to the Chesapeake Bay and it’s 64,000 square miles of salt water that empties into the Atlantic Ocean.
Okay, you get the idea, I’m a bit of a salty dog.
Today I’ll share a small corner of this water world, the northwest corner of a marina on Kent Island. This is a hot spot for fisherman, crabbers and watermen who earn their living on the bounty of the sea.
Enjoy!

I wonder if those sun rays were as visible for the bare eyes as they became on the photo. Great capture Jimi!

I could see only a streak or two of the rays when the image was captured, and they were faint and hardly noticeable. To my surprise, there was a sky full of them that showed up in post processing.

Jimi,
Great picture, I love the sun rays. I almost never can catch a shot like that. I really need to start carrying my camera with me, so I can at least try and get shots like that!
Thanks, James.
Yeah man, keep that camera handy. We never know what we’ll come across and the window for capturing is always so narrow.
