Happy Friday, TGIF and all of that!

It’s been a fairly quick but busy week and the weekend is always a welcome time for me. We will close out the week in much the same manner as it began, on the water. Living near a port city on the eastern seaboard has made me into a bit of a wharf rat over the years so I’m just naturally drawn to the water. What can I say? :-)

In the previous post we had a look at a blue hour long exposure I created in Virginia. Today we take a swing through pier 4 of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor where I caught the sun rising over my right shoulder as it illuminated a few downtown buildings, including part of the National Aquarium.  Several of my favorite elements came together in this image, water with just a light breeze, morning light just clearing the rooftops, a few architectural styles and no people milling about to clutter the scene. No, I’m not anti-people, but hey, I’m trying to create a little scene here. :-)

Anyhow, it was just one of those times when you kind of had a tiny slice of the universe to yourself.

This image is a few piers over from the historic USS Constellation.

You seldom find an area like this as quiet as it was on this occasion. I had eyed this spot a few times before but there was always something going on that caused me to write it off for another day.

Enjoy the weekend good people and thanks for all of your support.
