Happy Monday, everyone!

I hope you enjoyed a very nice weekend. Part of this weekend was spent in Atlantic City as we celebrated the birthday of a dear friend. We really had a great time just hanging out and enjoying ourselves.

Today’s image was taken on the boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue and shows the soon to be open (April 2012) Revel Atlantic City Resort and Hotel. It certainly looks like a real beauty from the outside and I’ll be returning for an inside look after the dust settles. I understand that the interior will be sporting an ocean theme, which only makes sense here on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Can hardly wait to see it. :-)

I captured this image as the sun was rapidly falling and the sky was transitioning toward the “blue hour”. This is one of the last sunset shots of the day.

Being a fan of architecture, I couldn’t stand here without zooming in for a closer look at those beautiful glass windows. You’ll also notice that the place is well secured. There is a policeman on a bike and a patrol car stationed nearby.

Nothing like a brand new hotel and casino to draw a crowd of people and you can bet this place will be hopping. This may be one of the last images of so few individuals in and around this building. ;-)

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

I’m a great fan of modern architecture too, Jim. Looks like a perfect time of day to capture this – some lovely tones captured. I can see why yo would want to go back again. The curves in that second image offer so many possibilities. Thanks for posting this – it’s brightened my morning!
