Safe Harbor
Before diving in I want to thank everyone for your comments, retweets, and continued support here and in places like Google Plus and 500px. It is truly appreciated. ;-)
In today’s short post we have a look at a B&W image captured during my last visit to Harve de Grace Maryland. A light fog still hovered above the trees in the background but it served as a bit of a distraction as opposed to adding to the mood. With that in mind I felt it best to go mono on this one. I used the +2 exposure to bring out the rocks below the decking, which was originally too dark to show much detail.
Thanks for visiting!

That is a wonderful scene Jimi. So peaceful and inviting. I think that the B&W choice really works.

Really nice shot Jimi. I’m already wishing I was sitting on one of those benches.

Great scene, Jimi. Your choice to use B&W is perfect for the subject. I really like the detail and contrast.

Beautiful capture! I could be wrong, but it looks like its leaning a tad to the right. I have a suck obsession with horizons and still muck mine up all the time
You could be right.
I had the same thought but the horizon on the water looked okay so I figured the land may actually be tilted a bit. Using the grid mode on the crop tool, things looked okay. Weird. The house is built on a knoll of sorts. Pretty steep incline off to the right.
Good eye, man. These things tend to bug me as well.

I really, really like this Jimi. It’s so crisp and I love the lines. Great job with the composition and the processing.

Wonderful image Jimi! The mono look suits this picture so well, it has a very historical feel to it. It’s a bit of a cliché with HDR but it definitely has an artistic look to as well. Superb!
Wow, what an awesome and serene image Jimi

Love the contrast here Jimi, I read Adams comments, I am a stickler as well, and I cannot really tell if it is leaning or not, it’s almost like an optical illusion, regardless, nice work and processing
