Smithsonian Gardens
Welcome back from the long weekend. For those of you who celebrated the Labor Day Holiday here in the US, I hope it was quite enjoyable and relaxing.
Today’s image comes from Washington DC, the Smithsonian Institution to be exact. This is also known as The Castle and has beautifully manicured grounds. The low vantage point here is from just inside these gates.
This was another 3-shot bracket (-2 to +2) which was processed using HDR Efex Pro before being imported into Photoshop for a few final adjustments. I used a 10.5 mm, f /2.8 fisheye lens to capture the width of this scene.
Built in 1847, the castle-like building in the background is the Smithsonian’s first building and continues to serve as it’s headquarters.
Thanks for visiting!

I like the low POV, Jimi. This adds a wonderful depth to the shot as well as providing the great lines of the white flowers.
